Coleen McKeehan RN, BA, ICCE-CD received her RN from Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois and her BA in Psychology from Bryan College in Dayton, TN. She primarily worked in Pediatric Nursing before taking a hiatus while raising her five children. She is currently certified by the International Childbirth Educator's Association as both a doula and childbirth educator. She has been a doula or birth coach for five years, helping in over 50 deliveries. She has taught childbirth classes at U.T. Medical Center for four years, was a contributor to their Joy Book - a guide for pregnancy and birth, and has taught several seminar sessions for March of Dimes on "How Learners Learn." She is involved with the Postpartum Depression Task Force of East Tennessee where she has been a member for the past four years. Coleen is a co- author and presenter of "Postpartum Depression: A Community Issue." There are two versions of this presentation, one version is geared to health care professionals and one is geared to the general public.
