Bonnie Marland, LCSW
Bonnie Marland, LCSW has 18 years experience in the treatment of sexual abuse and trauma related issues. Recently retired from full time practice, she continues to do consulting, supervision and presentations. Bonnie earned her undergraduate degree in sociology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and her Masters in Social Work with the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University, St. Louis, Mo.
For the past 18 years she has focused on the treatment of individuals and families dealing with sexual abuse issues. She was the program director and clinical supervisor for PASAAC (Project Against Sexual Abuse of Appalachian Children) and also director of KISATT (Knoxville Institute for Sexual Abuse Treatment Training) - both programs of Child and Family, Tennessee.
KISATT has played a leading role in the teaching and training of professionals working in the field of abuse and trauma. As primary presenter with KISATT for the past 15 years Bonnie helped develop several models for treatment of adult survivors, child victims, and their families as well as adolescent offenders.
As a clinician Bonnie has experience working with all ages, both victims and offenders, and has focused on trauma and dissociative issues resulting from profound abuse. Bonnie was also active in teaching new therapists in her role as field supervisor for 16 years with the Master’s of Social Work program at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
