Will my state licensing board approve on-line courses as an approved format for obtaining continuing education credits?

Requirements for mental health and allied professionals vary from state to state. Some boards will outline specific requirements and others leave it up to the professional to determine what is appropriate. Also, some states recognize programs approved by other states or professional organizations while others do not. It is up to each professional to make sure that the courses offered meets the requirements of their state and/or professional organization.  You may contact your state board to obtain these requirements. It has been a while since I read the course material; do I have to start the test where I stopped?

No, you can re-read the material and start the test over by clicking on “take the test” on your account history page.

How many times can I take the test?

Learners may re-take the test as many times as needed during a 180 day period. Course materials expire 180 days after the date of purchase. Some learners re-take a test when they need to re-read material and start the test over because it has been a while since they have read the course. Others re-take the test because they did not pass. Learners are able to re-read course material until they feel they have a good understanding of the material and then re-take the test until the course expires.
