eLearning is proud to offer "The Mind-Body Connection to Treating Anorexia" by Dr. Gina Scarano-Osika. Dr. Scarano-Osika is a Licensed Psychologist in New York State with a professional practice in the Glen Falls area.  During her doctoral training she specialized in research regarding the treatment of Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia, and other subclinical eating related disturbances.  Eating disorders continue to be her treatment specialty. Her course provides participants with an overview of the etiology of Anorexia from a developmental perspective, reviews the diagnostic criterion for Anorexia, and describes a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.  Participants will develop knowledge of effective treatment approaches including a stepped approach to re-feeding, ways to re-calibrate hunger and fullness cues, how to cure an addiction to the scale, and improve body image.
